Create an Organization Client

You can add an organization, such as a farm or a charity, as a client in Provet.

Note

The UK charity client type is only available for UK clinics and is visible only to users with permission to assign it. If you do not have this permission but need to assign the UK Charity customer type to a client, select UK charity as the organization type. See Set Up the UK Charity Customer Typefor more information.

  1. The simplest way to add a new organization client is to start from the Dashboard. Select Create new > + Organization in the top right-hand corner of the page. Other places you can start from:

    • In the Clients & Patients view, select + New organization in the top right corner of the page.

    • When booking a new appointment, select New client > Create organization in the New appointment dialogue.

  2. Select the company Type.

  3. Add the Organization name and Register number. Additional fields appear below the field.

  4. If needed, add the organization's VAT number. 0% VAT rate can be applied for EU companies with a valid VAT number.

  5. Fill in other required information and save.

Additional Information

Fill in any additional information necessary for your purposes. Available fields may vary depending on the clinic location settings.

  • Breeder: Select this checkbox if the organization is a breeder. This information is needed if you use the VetEnvoy integration for registering microchips.

  • Production animal client: Select this check box to add details related to production animal.

  • Referring organization: See Add a Referring Organisation or Veterinarian as a Client.

  • Phone number and Phone type: Enter the phone number to contact the organization and specify the phone number type e.g. mobile phone.

  • Organization's address and email address(es). Select + Add another email to capture multiple email addresses for the organization.

    • Select the Allow text messages and/or Allow email communication checkboxes to specify the communication preferences of the organization.

  • Home Clinic Location: Select the clinic location which the organization most regularly visits or will visit.

  • Invoice: You can select an alternate recipient to receive the invoice and select a different billing address.

  • Remarks: You can add any critical notes about the client as well as additional remarks. Remarks are shown at the top of the client's consultation view.

  • Client type: Available depending on the organization settings. The options include InternalExternal, and Research, and each type can have a specific VAT rate associated with them (defined in the organization settings) which overrides the default rate on the invoice.
