You can use item categories to apply a central discount scheme from the central clinic location to selected local clinic locations. This allows the organization to apply discounts to groups of items using categories instead of selecting items individually.
Central discount schemes are managed in Settings > List & Templates > Discounts.

In the central clinic location, go to Settings > List & Templates > Discounts > Discount schemes.

The Discount schemes page displays all existing discount schemes in a list showing

You can filter the list using the All, Active, Inactive, or Archived tabs, or use the search bar to find a specific discount scheme.

In the central clinic location, go to Settings > List & Templates > Discounts > Discount schemes.

Select the + New discount scheme button. The New discount scheme dialog opens.

In the General information and When sections, enter the discount scheme details (e.g., name, validity).

In the To whom section, select a rule type from the Rule type dropdown list. The selection field displayed next to this field depends on the selected rule type. For example, choosing Clients displays a Clients field, while choosing Species displays a Species field.

In the Items section, select Item categories from the Rule type dropdown list.

In the Item category field, search and select the category you want to apply the discount to (e.g., "Dog Medicine").

Enter the Discount percentage value for this rule.

Select Save. The central discount scheme is now created and available in the central clinic location.

In the central clinic location, go to Settings > List & Templates > Discounts > Discount schemes.

Select the button with three dots next to the active discount scheme you want to edit.

Select Edit discount scheme.

In the Edit discount scheme dialog, make the necessary changes.

Select Save.
Changes made in the central clinic location are automatically reflected in all local clinic locations where the discount scheme is assigned.
After creating the discount scheme, you must assign it to the local clinic locations where it should be active.

In the Discount schemes list, select the menu with three dots next to the discount scheme you want to assign.

Select Edit clinic locations.

In the Edit clinic locations dialog, select the local clinic locations where the discount should be available.

Select Save.
The discount scheme is now active for the selected local clinic locations. To edit the discount scheme, see Edit a Central Discount Scheme.
In local clinic locations where the discount scheme has been assigned, it appears in Settings > Lists & Templates > Discounts > Discount schemes.
The scheme cannot be edited in local clinic locations and can only be edited in the central clinic location. To view discount scheme details, select the eye button at the end row. In the View discount scheme dialog, users can see the general information, the To whom rules, and the item category rules, including the discount percentage.

Select the button with three dots next to the discount scheme.

Select Archive discount scheme.
Once archived, the discount scheme is no longer available in any local clinic locations where it was previously active.
To restore a discount scheme:

Open the Archived tab.

Select the Restore button at the end of the row.
The discount scheme becomes active again in the previously assigned local clinic locations.
