Health plans are packages of services you can offer to your clients. With health plans, you can give your clients a chance to save money, spread the cost and make sure that their pet has regular health checks. Health plans encourage clients to visit more often and help increase customer loyalty.
Using the Provet health plans feature, you can create your own health plans, add subscriptions to clients and patients, and use the health plan items during consultations.
After the health plans feature has been enabled in your system, some organisation and clinic location (clinic) level setup is needed for using health plans. In addition, some preliminary tasks need to be performed to have discounts and the necessary items needed for billing available for health plans.
For more information, see Health Plan Settings and Preliminary Tasks.
Provet automatically sends notification emails to pet owners at key points in their health plan subscription. You can configure which emails are sent and customize their content in department settings.

You can have more than one health plan at a time. For example, you can create health plans for puppies and kittens, adult pets, and senior pets, or offer a health plan for a limited period of time.
You can also add and manage your clients' health plan subscriptions and billing in Provet. The available payment options for health plan subscriptions include monthly billing through Provet, automatic monthly payments through Provet Pay or the Gravity Payments integration, using a third party billing system or generating your invoices manually, or advance payment for the whole contract period.

Organisations that manage multiple clinic locations can also use centrally managed health plans to share plan templates and pricing across clinic locations. For more information, see Create a Central Health Plan.
When a patient has an active health plan, you can select treatment items from the health plan during a consultation. You can identify patients that are active health plan members by the health plan tag (specified in the settings) and a heart icon.
